Well today I am going to leave the blog up to you guys.
I wanna know what religion you where raised with.
Do you still practice such religion?
What do you think about this religion?
Have you ever doubted your beliefs?
What do you suppose your parents would do if you ever decided you were curious about another religion?
Your friends? Significant other?
Ah the world of religion, so much controversy in this subject. Well it seems like it at least here in the US. All myself like many Mexicans was raised Catholic. I've been catholic all my life, and unless something drastic happens I'll probably stay catholic for the rest of my life. Do I practice it? Well, honestly I do do the occasional prayer here and there, especially when im stressed out about something or just life in general. I try to go to church every Sunday but I dont like going on my own. Like every religion in the world it has its positives and negatives. One of the sure negatives of the catholic religion which I really do hate is how many people (not all) judge other people based on their beliefs. Or how anything out of the norm is from "the devil". I really cant stand those type of people. I guess because I grew up with an uncle living in our house who was "extremely religious". My mom's, just trying to be a good mother would encourage me to hang out with him more and possible go to church with him and join a Youth group at church, but honestly I did not like that stuff. Nothing against my religion, but i was like 15-16 years old, my main passion was Soccer. I would have to miss certain games just to go to a group meeting or group prayer, and honestly I started hating it. Well it got to an extent where i just stopped going, and my uncle started judging me and questioning me about everything I did or did not do. Started saying that the type of music i listened to was "bad" and I should not listen to it. Many years passed and i know he had a hatred towards me, and I towards him and all because of his religious beliefs even if we were the same "religion". Years passed and that fuck head ended up at the time dating a married woman. So on Saturday he would be with a married woman, and on Sunday he was preaching the bible. That is the things that piss me off of the catholic religion, a lot of hypocrites. I think my parents would trip if I changed religion, but to an extent they would tell me it was my decision. My gf is a catholic too, and she is more religious than me. I think I wrote to much already, but religion can blind u, as it can guide u in your life.
ReplyDeleteComo dijo Tica,I was raised catholic. Went through 1st communion and all that stuff. I don't really practice it that much anymore. I only go to church if there's a wedding or baptism. Right now I'm staying away from organize religion, ademas que no megusta el padre que esta. I have you know, sometimes i just stop and think about how my god lets all those people die in Haiti. BUt it was their time to go, God wanted them with him, better to be in heaven.
